Forensic science
Forensic Science is used to search for clues and unravel the real culprits in a Crime. Demand for Forensic Science has grown significantly because of recent developments happening across the country. Students who are interested in Investigating and solving crime scenes can enroll in Forensic Science courses and pave their way to settle in this field. ✧ Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan has established the National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science under the auspices of the Union Home Ministry. The institute offers an M.A in Criminology and M.Sc in Forensic Science courses. Any Graduate in a Criminology course can join M.A courses. Only Science graduates are eligible to do M.Sc in Forensic Science. The Institute recently started offering courses such as PG Diploma in Investigation of Cybercrime and Law, PG Diploma in Victimology and Victim Assistance, PG Diploma in Security Management for a period of one year. Any graduate can join these courses.

✧ University of Delhi, Punjab University, University of Lucknow, Osmania University, Bundelkhand University, Amity University, Institute of Forensic Science, Mumbai, Government Institute of Forensic Science; University of Madras, Dr. Harisingh Gaur University, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore (Forensic Speech Sciences, Forensic Accounting), Guru Gobind Singh's Indraprastha University, Punjab University etc,. From UG to Ph.D..
✧ Inter Maths and Science students interested in Forensic Science can study it as a subject in B.Sc. However, a small number of companies offer this course. Those who have completed Science and Maths courses at UG can join the PG Forensic Science course. There are some specialized organizations at the National level for this. Forensic science courses are being implemented in some universities across the state. PG can then join Ph.D. Most companies offer Certificate and Diploma courses. There are also specializations.

Eligibility:
Candidate who wants to study Forensic Science must have science background. B.Sc Forensic Science can be done after class 10+2, should have minimum 70% marks. After completion of Graduation, they continue their Master's. There is a Diploma course in Forensic Science. The duration of the course is 1 year.

Positions- Duties:
Forensic Ballistic Experts: They can accurately tell the type of bullet used in guns and pistols, where it was made, how far it was fired, how many rounds were fired, and so on.
Forensic DNA Analyst: They identify the person's DNA based on fingerprints, blood, and objects found at the scene of the accident. Find out who it fits with.
Digital Forensic Experts: Digital forensic experts identify cybercriminals by adding technology to forensic science. Recover stolen data from hackers. They are called forensic computer investigators.
Crime Scene Investigator: Observe the pattern of the crime and model what happened. Try for clues. The findings are collected and sent for laboratory testing.
Wildlife Forensic Specialist: They study the behaviour of wildlife that have died suspiciously. Identify who the factors are based on the evidence found there.
Forensic Accountants: Through forensic accounting it is possible to identify financial criminals and identify financial crimes. They are placed before the court to make it easier to understand the financial transactions of the companies in dispute. Thorough study of financial contract documents (bonds), terms. Currently there are good opportunities in forensic accounting. Those with a background in Accounts and Law have the opportunity to excel in this field. They have jobs in financial institutions, insurance companies and legal firms.
Forensic Toxicologist: Some people die from poisoning. However, they can determine if they have consumed it or if they have inadvertently added it to their diet. Also, the name and dosage of the drug are determined if the drugs are taken.
Forensic Psychologist: They analyse the mental state of the accused. Whether to face trial, or be observed. The services of these professionals are crucial when mental patients and psychos are part of the murder.
Forensic Linguists: Documents and voice details of where the crime took place will be found if any. Examine the archive to determine who wrote the documents. Voice can be analysed in the audio tapes available there with forensic speech science.
Forensic Pathologist: Unravels the mysteries behind suspicious deaths by post-mortem. Whether they died accidentally, died naturally, were murdered, committed suicide ... they can tell with certainty.
Forensic Odontology: If there are any bites on the victim's shit, they will look for the cause. Whether it was caused by animals or whether humans were bitten by teeth, dragged with claws, etc. are brought to light.
